One of the best image processing programs for astroimages is PixInsight. It’s also very resource hungry and needs lots of raw CPU power, memory and fast disks. Good M.2 drives are a solution into the last demand. Here’s my benchmark results for two 2 TB Samsung 980 Pro M.2 SSD drives. CrystalDiskMark shows smaller capacity because those disks have got overprovisioning set and are “hiding” real capacity.
