Everybody knows that everything and especially almost all of astronomy related software runs on Windows but what about other operating systems? I have tested PixInsight, KStars, Sky Charts (former Cartes du Ciel), Stellarium, AstroImageJ and SAOImage DS9 on top of Linux (here Ubuntu 22.04 LTS). All of these programs run fine without any hickups. The “PC” here is Intel NUC11BTMi9 with plenty of DRAM and M.2 SSD storage onboard.
