We once had “Tutti” (Tampereen Ursan Tieteellinen Tiimi) where we were exploring planets out of our solar system and doing all kinds of photometry. Really, it is not as hard as it sounds. For photometry you only need UBVRI-filters and for exoplanets just a good telescope with proper tracking and some background knowledge of the subject is quite enough.
